Fowey Hall Hotel, located in the picturesque surroundings of Fowey, is seeking dedicated Kitchen Porters to contribute to the exceptional experience we provide.
Contract: Casual Worker
Salary: £12.71 per hour plus service charge
Job Type: Casual Worker Agreement – Hours are offered to our casual workers in line with the demands of the business. Flexibility will be key, as shifts will vary and will include some weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all plates, crockery and cooking equipment is cleaned: overseeing the potwash area of the kitchen and ensuring that all crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment is cleaned efficiently and correctly.
- Ensuring your section is prepared and cleaned down: keeping your station clean and tidy throughout your shift and at the end of your shift ready for handover.
- Ensuring your work area is safe and chemicals are used correctly: cleaning spillages and following proper safety procedures, particularly regarding the use of chemicals.
Qualifications:
- Food Hygiene Level 2 is beneficial but not essential.
- Charisma, engaging personality and passion for hospitality and providing great service to our guests.
- Ability to keep calm and focused during a busy service and to keep your station clean and tidy throughout your shift.
