Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team and contribute to our ongoing success. This is a permanent role, at 48 hours per week (including weekends).
You Will
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to our restaurant’s standards and recipes.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support senior chefs with various kitchen tasks, including food prep, plating, and inventory management.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute innovative ideas for new dishes.
- Uphold the highest standards of food hygiene and safety practices.
What We Need
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment will be beneficial; however, training will be provided.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- A friendly and engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality and great service and a desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.
