We are seeking a Paralegal to join our friendly family team at Woollcombe Yonge. The successful candidate will be required to assist fee earners in our family team. Previous experience is preferred, ideally a minimum of 1 years’ experience in family law.
The candidate must have the following essential skills for the role:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- A strong user knowledge of IT packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be a team player focused on providing an exceptional service with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills communicating with clients, counsel and courts.
Tasks will include the following:
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and other professionals via telephone, face to face and by correspondence.
- Preparation of letters, attendance notes, statements and bills etc.
- Preparing bundles and dealing with disclosure.
- Drafting/reviewing documents such as Court documents and Witness Statements.
- Submission of Court documents.
- Providing support with basic financial tasks, including invoice preparation, tracking case-related expenses and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Handling administrative tasks such as maintaining case files and diary management.
- Other general admin tasks such as file opening and closing.
Job Type: Full time. Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.
Salary: Remuneration is competitive and dependent upon experience.
Location: Plymouth, PL4 0BD. Please note this is an office-based role.
