Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex surgical procedures related to the mouth, jaw, and facial structures. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and proficiency with medical imaging. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and corrective surgeries.
  • Analyse medical imaging to accurately diagnose and plan surgical interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with dental practitioners, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care instructions to patients.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in oral surgery techniques and technology.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards within the clinical environment.

Location/Practice details

Woole and Scarra are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Oral Surgeon to join our specialised dental team in Leamington Spa within our private dental practice one day a week. Fully qualified Oral Surgeon recognised by relevant dental or medical authorities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in performing complex oral surgical procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to maxillofacial regions.
  • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, or MRI scans.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members in a professional manner.
  • A valid DBS certificate will be required on request.
  • All candidates must be registered with the GDC.
  • Exhibit a patient-centric approach, prioritising the comfort and well-being of each individual.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree and be on the specialist list, ensuring your expertise is recognised.
  • Collaborate effectively with the dental team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
