Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex surgical procedures related to the mouth, jaw, and facial structures. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, proficiency with medical imaging. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and corrective surgeries
- Analyse medical imaging to accurately diagnose and plan surgical interventions
- Collaborate closely with dental practitioners, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative care instructions to patients
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in oral surgery techniques and technology
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards within the clinical environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in performing complex oral surgical procedures
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to maxillofacial regions
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, or MRI scans
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members in a professional manner
- A valid DBS certificate will be required on request
- All candidates must be registered with the GDC
- Exhibit a patient-centric approach, prioritising the comfort and well-being of each individual
- Possess a Bachelors Degree and be on the specialist list, ensuring your expertise is recognised
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture
