Here at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks, we have a fantastic opportunity for a cheerful, enthusiastic and approachable Ceramics Assistant to become part of our paint your own pottery studios. Our studios offer a lively, creative experience suitable for guests of all ages and abilities, and we are looking for someone who will help us continue to deliver a warm, memorable and engaging atmosphere for everyone who visits. The successful applicant will be energetic and able to multi-task in a very busy environment.

  • Seasonal, part-time positions available
  • Availability required for weekends, bank and school holidays
  • Due to the location, you must be able to commute to Woolacombe

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests into the studios, providing support and guidance for their paint-your-own pottery experience.
  • Prepare coffee and other beverages in a fast-moving café environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by staying energetic, enthusiastic, and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Clear and reset tables, including washing tables and painting accessories.
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness in the studios by performing daily cleaning tasks.
  • Apply glaze to pottery for the firing process, load kilns for overnight firing, and unload the following day for customer collection.
  • Operate the till and computers as required.
  • Restock pottery shelves and refill paints when needed.
  • An artistic nature and previous experience in a pottery studio are advantageous but not essential.
