IntroductionTo support the Wookey Hole marketing team in delivering day-to-day digital and marketing activities across the business. The role is designed as a learning position, providing hands-on experience in social media, website content management, campaign support, and general marketing administration.

Wookey Hole is one of the UK’s most iconic visitor attractions, centred around its spectacular cave system, rich heritage and the legend of the Wookey Witch. Located in Somerset, it offers a unique mix of natural wonder, family entertainment, adventure, live circus performances, education and seasonal events. Alongside the attraction, the business operates Wookey Hole Hotel, Mendip View Lodges and Bucklegrove Holiday Park, welcoming both day visitors and holidaymakers. What You\'ll Do

  • The marketing apprentice will assist in executing clearly defined marketing tasks, ensuring that content is accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives, while developing core marketing skills within a busy visitor attraction environment.
  • Social Media Coordination: Schedule approved content across multiple platforms using tools such as Meta Business Suite, including Wookey Hole, Wild Wookey, Circus, Mendip View Hot Tub Lodges and Bucklegrove Holiday Park.
  • Upload imagery and copy, ensure correct timing of posts, and support content repurposing (e.g. stories, reels).
  • Assist with basic community management and flag any issues where required.
  • Website & Digital Content: Carry out simple website updates once trained, including text and image changes, link checking, and formatting.
  • Maintain and organise digital asset libraries and upload event listings to external platforms and partners.
  • Influencer & PR Support: Support the coordination of influencer and PR activity, including maintaining records, assisting with influencer visits, and tracking content.
  • Marketing Campaign Support: Assist in the delivery of marketing campaigns, including coordinating artwork and content distribution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure materials are filed and stored correctly for future reference.
  • General Marketing Administration: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the marketing team, including assisting with printed materials, email campaigns, monthly reporting, and liaison with suppliers such as printers.
  • Support local distribution of marketing materials and attend occasional promotional events where required.
  • General: In addition to the duties listed, the post holder may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Training Outcome

A permanent position may be available upon successful completion of the contract, although this is not guaranteed.

Working Arrangements

  • Working Week: Contract: 7-day contract, with the main working days being Monday to Friday.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Breaks: 30-minute unpaid break per shift.
  • Expected Duration: 1 Year 6 Months
