Southampton dog sitter wanted, self-employed: stay-overs and drop-in visits
Southampton is a city of shift workers, students and port families, so plenty of owners are called away at short notice. We want three self-employed pet sitters to help them. Please read this as its own job: it is about looking after a dog in the owner's home, not walking it for an hour.
A booking could be a lunchtime visit every day for a week, or nights at the owner's address while they work away. Follow the notes they leave on food and medication, take the dog out, stay a while and message every day.
We are a booking app for dog owners, not your employer. There is no wage, and there are no promises of bookings. You set your own prices per visit and per night and pick what to accept; owners pay in the app and the payout reaches your bank. Tax, National Insurance and insurance cover are your own to look after.
Public sitter listings in Southampton show a home visit at about £16 and a night of home boarding at about £35. Treat those as the local market.
Boarding a dog in your own home is a different service, listed separately in the app, and it needs a licence from the council before you take a booking. Visits and stays at the owner's address do not.
Free to join. No commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking. After five of your own clients have joined through you it is 10% for life, and clients you bring yourself pay the 10% rate straight away.
