Romney Marsh dog walker: New Romney, Lydd and Dymchurch, self-employed, set your own rate

WoofWalk is a UK app where dog owners book and pay local walkers. In the past two weeks a New Romney owner asked locally for a walker and we had nobody within twenty-five kilometres, so we want up to three self-employed walkers across the Marsh: New Romney, Littlestone, Greatstone, Lydd, St Mary's Bay and Dymchurch, with the beach from Littlestone to Greatstone and the Marsh lanes for the walking.

This carries no wage and no guaranteed bookings. You run your own small walking business through the app and you decide what to charge, when to work and how far to range. Owners book and pay in the app and the money is paid into your bank.

For a benchmark, roughly 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 priced an hour's solo walk at £12 to £28, most often £18. We quote it only for context.

Charges: nothing to join and no commission for the first 14 days. Then WoofWalk keeps 15% of each booking, which drops to 10% once five of your own clients have joined the app. Clients you bring in pay the 10% rate from their first booking. Sorting tax, National Insurance and an insurance policy falls to you.

Tell us the villages you cover, your days and your price and we will draft a profile for you to check. If you walk dogs on the Marsh already, bring your clients and keep bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks in one app.

You must be over 18, happy on a windswept beach, and willing to meet each owner and dog first.
