Edinburgh dog trainer needed: self-employed, your own rates, one-to-one sessions only
Dog owners in Edinburgh book training through WoofWalk, and we want two more trainers. This is self-employed work paid by commission, with no wage from us, and it is quite separate from the dog-walking advert we run in the city.
WoofWalk is a booking app for dog owners across the UK and is not an employer. Owners choose a trainer, book and pay in the app, and the money is paid out to you. You set your own price and decide when you work. We do not promise bookings or income.
Be aware that only one-to-one sessions are bookable. Group classes, courses and online sessions are not available through WoofWalk yet. A trainer who works in a garden in Morningside, a park in Stockbridge or a client's home in Leith will find it suits them best.
After a session you can write a training report with homework for the owner, who sees it in the app. List your qualifications on your profile and upload certificates so that WoofWalk can check them. Tell owners which methods you use.
Some behaviour problems, serious aggression above all, need a qualified behaviourist or a vet. Say what you can help with and refer on anything else.
The app cannot yet filter search by area, so you might be asked for a session in Musselburgh or Corstorphine. Look at the address and decline what is too far.
There is nothing to pay to join. No commission for the first 14 days, then 15%, falling to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18.
