Self-employed dog trainer, London: one-to-one sessions with homework for owners
Training dogs is a different job from the London dog-walking adverts we run, and this is commission-based self-employed work with no wage. We are looking for three experienced dog trainers to give one-to-one sessions to owners who book through the WoofWalk app.
WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners, not an employer. Training is its own listed service. You set your own prices and hours, owners book and pay through the app, and the money is paid out to your bank. No bookings or income are guaranteed.
Please read this carefully: bookings are for one-to-one sessions only. Group classes, courses and online sessions cannot be booked through WoofWalk yet, so this suits you if your work is in the owner's home, a park or your own training space.
After each session you can write a training report with homework, which the owner sees in the app. You can list your qualifications on your profile and upload certificates for us to check. Tell owners which methods you use, so they know what to expect.
Some problems, such as serious aggression, need a qualified behaviourist or a vet. Be clear about what you can help with and refer on the rest.
The app does not yet filter search by area, so look at the address on each request and decline any that is too far, whether that is Clapham, Islington, Richmond or Croydon.
Nothing to pay to join. No commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking, falling to 10% for life once five of your own clients have joined through you, so bringing existing clients across helps. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18.
