This is commission-based self-employed work with no wage, and it is a different job from our London dog-walking adverts. We are looking for three experienced dog groomers who want a steady flow of owners booking them directly through the WoofWalk app.
WoofWalk is a UK booking app for dog owners, not an employer. Grooming is listed as its own service. You can work from a home salon, from a mobile van, or by visiting the owner's home. You set your own prices by dog size and time per groom. Owners book and pay through the app, and the money is paid out to your bank. Bookings and income are not guaranteed.
This is for people who can already groom well; it is not a training course.
London is large, so check the address on every request and decline anything you cannot reach, whether that is Wimbledon, Hackney, Barnet or Greenwich. The app does not yet filter search results by area. If you travel, the day-route planner puts appointments in a sensible order and a mileage log records business miles at HMRC rates, with a spreadsheet export for your tax return.
You may decline a groom you are not equipped for, such as a badly matted coat. There is no licence just for grooming, but a home salon or van can bring council rules, so ask your council.
Nothing to pay to join. No commission for 14 days, then 10% of each booking, falling to 5% for life once you take 20 bookings in a single month. You cover your own tax, National Insurance and insurance. Over 18.
