Cambridge: self-employed dog walker, commons and river, your own business

Cambridge is open on WoofWalk: no walker here yet. We are looking for three, ideally one in the north around Chesterton and Arbury, one in the centre and one in the south towards Trumpington and Cherry Hinton.

WoofWalk is a UK app where dog owners book someone nearby to walk, visit or sit their dog. You are self-employed on it. Your prices, your hours, your bookings; owners book and pay through the app, and the money is paid out to you. We do not employ you, there is no wage and no guaranteed work.

Local prices from public sitter listings: half-hour walks £10 to £20, group walks £12 to about £23, drop-in visits £8 to £18. You set your own, and our start page shows what you would keep.

Jesus Green, Midsummer Common, Stourbridge Common and Milton Country Park carry most walks, and the river paths join them up. At Byron's Pool the dog control order allows four dogs per person at most.

Terms: free to join. First 14 days without commission, then 15% of each booking, dropping to 10% for life once five clients have joined through you. You keep your own tax, National Insurance and insurance in order.

A bike is almost essential in Cambridge, and anyone with free weekday mornings, including students and researchers between terms, tends to fit this well. Over 18.
