Salford: self-employed dog walker, five already set up, Quays to Clifton
Five people in Salford have already set up as walkers on WoofWalk, part of 34 across Greater Manchester, and the Manchester side has produced 109 applicants so far. We want five more in Salford so that Eccles, Swinton, Walkden and the Quays each have someone close.
WoofWalk is a UK app where owners book a walker who lives near them. You are self-employed on it: your prices and hours are yours, you choose each booking, and owners pay through the app with the money paid out to you. We do not employ you, we pay no wage, and bookings are not guaranteed.
No Salford price research yet; the national figure from public listings is around Β£15 for an hour's walk, and that is other walkers' pricing, not ours.
Buile Hill Park, Peel Park, Clifton Country Park and the Quays waterside are the regular grounds.
Free to join. Your first 14 days are commission-free; after that it is 15% of each booking, and 10% for life once five clients have joined through you. You handle your own tax, National Insurance and insurance yourself.
Students at the university and anyone free in the middle of the day suit this. Over 18.
Reliable and punctual. Confident and calm handling dogs of different sizes. Good communication with clients. A smartphone to use the app.
