Guildford dog walker, self-employed: Merrow to Onslow, your prices, owners waiting
Dog owners across the UK use the WoofWalk app to book and pay a walker nearby. Within the past two weeks a Guildford owner asked a local group for a walker and the app had no one within twenty-five kilometres to suggest, so we want up to three self-employed walkers across Merrow, Burpham, Stoughton, Onslow Village and Shalford, with Stoke Park, the Wey towpath, Pewley Down and Newlands Corner for the walks themselves.
Let us be straight: no wage, no guaranteed bookings. It is your own walking business, run through the app, and you alone decide prices, days and territory. Owners book and pay in the app; the money goes to your bank.
Price-wise, about 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 charged £12 to £28 for an hour's solo walk, and the typical figure was £18. Guildford walkers may well charge more; the choice is yours.
How WoofWalk makes its money: joining is free, your first 14 days are commission-free, and then it keeps 15% of each booking. Once five of your own clients have joined, that falls to 10% and stays there, and anyone you bring in yourself pays the 10% rate from their first booking. Your tax return, National Insurance and insurance cover are your own concern, not WoofWalk's.
Applicants must be over 18, untroubled by Surrey mud, and willing to meet each owner and dog first.
