Excellent opportunity for an experienced Specification Manager to join the London Specification team of a leading, global manufacturer of construction chemicals.
The main requirements of the role will be to ensure the company's products and systems are specified on projects across various sectors of the construction industry. The successful candidate will ensure the company has an active presence in all major Architectural, Civil and Structural Engineering practices as well as Building Surveyor and Interior Design offices within their region.
Some of the most important characteristics of the Specification Manager include:
- Experience within the specification sector particularly within construction chemicals and products.
- Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent and professional construction industry qualifications such as Diploma, HNC and other professional qualifications.
- Existing business relationships with, and an active contact list of Engineers, Surveyors, Architects and other specifiers.
- Motivation to constantly learn, improve service quality, technical ability and improve day to day processes where possible.
- Ability to efficiently organise your time to achieve the best coverage of your territory and clients.
- Problem solver with a technical mind, able to take on difficult challenges whilst remaining calm.
- Knowledge of RIBA stages, typical built environment structures and a keen eye for detail.
- An understanding of team strategies, aims and goals and how they are implemented and achieved.
- Necessary people skills required to successfully gain appointments, collaborate with specifiers and colleagues.
- Ability to plan, arrange and attend project meetings with specifier groups.
- Ability to foster long lasting relationships and partnerships.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience of presenting CPDs and other presentations to specifier groups.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- A knowledge of CRM systems would be useful, as well as a CSSW qualification, though not essential.
Based with a dynamic and friendly, supportive team, this role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, plus company car, pension, phone, laptop etc. Hours are 8.30 to 17.00 with 1 hour for lunch Monday to Friday.
