Woodward integrates leading-edge technologies into fuel, combustion, fluid, actuation, and electronic control systems for the aerospace and industrial markets. At Prestwick, we repair and overhaul aircraft engine fuel controls for customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to expand our Quality team at Woodward, Prestwick. This position reports directly to the Quality Leader and is responsible for providing customer and organizational support for quality & regulatory requirements, compliance, and system and process improvements. This position coordinates root cause and corrective action for the site and performs quality-related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process. The role is proactive in identifying and driving resolution to systemic issues and proposes performance improvements. They will evaluate procedures and work instructions, manage and approve documents that are required per the Quality Management System. Facilitates and represents Quality during internal/external audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Quality Inspections: Perform routine inspections of products and processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
  • Document Inspection Results: Accurately record and maintain detailed reports of quality assessments and findings.
  • Assist in Quality Improvement: Support senior quality engineers in implementing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze Standard Issues: Utilize existing procedures to evaluate quality data and identify recurring problems.
  • Maintain Quality Procedures: Follow standardized quality control procedures to achieve project objectives and meet deadlines.

Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality, engineering, machine shop, assembly or functional testing related experience.
  • HND/HNC in Engineering or a Business-related subject, or an aircraft technician or engineer qualification with suitable additional education.
  • Demonstrates solid computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
