Role Description
The HVAC Designer role is a full-time, position based in Tewkesbury. The person in this role will develop HVAC system designs and layouts for new construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing drawings and specifications, performing load calculations, selecting equipment, and coordinating HVAC designs with architectural and structural plans. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors, reviewing designs during construction, and providing technical support to resolve site issues. The HVAC Designer will also contribute to design documentation, participate in project meetings, and help improve internal design standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong HVAC Design and general HVAC system skills.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge relevant to building services.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in CAD and Revit design tools and the ability to read and produce technical drawings.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of UK building regulations, industry standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess a relevant technical qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering; professional registration or progress toward it is beneficial.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively out of the Tewkesbury office and manage multiple design tasks to meet project deadlines.
