We are looking for an experienced EYFS teacher / lead to teach one of our two EYFS classes. We are particularly interested in teachers with a strong passion for SEND and who would be interested in line managing and overseeing the provision in our small SEND hub (0-5 curriculum). Although we do welcome applications from those who are strong, experienced early years teachers.
The Opportunity
- Liaise with the SENDCO to support the delivery of the curriculum.
- Lead on the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching practice across the curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of all students ensuring that they are appropriately taught and prepared for national assessments and the next stage of their learning.
- Oversee the reporting of students’ progress to parents ensuring that parents are informed of issues affecting the progress of their child and supporting teachers with any issues that arise.
- To support, develop and coach teaching and learning across EYFS, so that the school has a consistently good or better teaching.
- To lead and co-ordinate assessment across EYFS, maximizing pupil and parental engagement.
The ideal candidate
- Has a record of excellent classroom practice in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent.
- Understanding of and commitment to teaching standards.
- Able to secure high standards of pupil achievement and behaviour in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Is passionate and has drive for raising standards of teaching and learning.
