One of the market leading speciality chemical distributors to the personal care, pharmaceutical and chemicals industries is currently hiring for an Internal Sales Representative. Are you a science graduate and love chatting to people, talking business, driving processes, building relationships? Maybe you’re fresh from University with a science degree, with some sales, bar work or customer service experience? Or perhaps you have a few years experience in sales, marketing or account management, post graduation? The role is vacant due to a long term member retiring from a long career with the business, and will provide an excellent opportunity to join a values driven team with a warm client base, known for their excellent customer service and providing some of the very best products on the market. There will be long term prospects available within the wider sales team. An excellent opportunity for science focussed, commercially astute professionals.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with R&D and technical marketing teams on a regular basis with regards to marketing leading raw material chemical products
- Provide high-quality customer service, maintaining and increasing business with a defined set of customers within the cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical and wider chemical industries
- Support the external sales team by helping with their customers if they are out of office
- Promote and sell products to customers
- Calculate quotes and send to customers, following up on samples/quotes/projects and maintaining a healthy project pipeline
- Develop and nurture relationships, always looking to build rapport
- Conduct and record market analysis
- The core basis of this role is internal with occasional travel for customer meetings and attendance at industry events when appropriate
- Join a highly collaborative, highly supportive sales team
