A manufacturer of household chemical products is currently recruiting for a development chemist to join their team based in Thetford. Bringing formulation development experience from the household chemical, personal care, cosmetics or other closely related chemical manufacturing fields, you will join their existing technical team, reporting into the Head of R&D.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and build the homecare innovation pipeline and product range.
- Have good formulation expertise.
- Present to internal stakeholders key project developments.
- Initiate and manage projects and NPD plan, working with cross-functional teams to help deliver innovative and high-quality products on time and in budget.
- Support with regulatory aspects of the NPD/EPD’s such as SDS creation, formulation cards and monitor legislation change to ensure compliance at all times.
- Provide product briefings to suppliers and 3rd parties, when required.
- Contribute new ideas for innovation centred to homecare.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to deliver products quickly to market.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Experience within a formulation development chemistry role within the household chemical, cleaning chemicals, personal care, cosmetics or similar industry.
- Ideally a degree in a Scientific field.
- A desire to grow and invigorate an existing brand/range.
- Knowledge of interpreting marketing trends from a Technical perspective.
- Ability to use technical programmes e.g., Microsoft, MS Office.
