Job Description Woodstock recruitment are working with a growing developer and manufacturer of personal care products, who are searching for their new formulation laboratory manager. Working with leading brands and manufacturers, you will be hands on, leading a small team of chemists and technicians, developing formulations required for client NPD. Key responsibilities: Lead and manage the daily activities of the Development Chemist team, including support and training for professional development Ensure Laboratory Health & Safety and housekeeping are maintained to the required standard Develop new formulations in line with client NPD briefs, ensuring claims and regulatory requirements are met Maintain an awareness of current trends in formulation, fragrance and new ingredients; use your established network of suppliers and contacts to inform product development Lead in NPD meetings; accountable for updating on workstream actions; contributing to identifying feasibility, managing risks and issues to reduce risk of failure and developing workstream plans with the laboratory and commercial teams. Organise external stability, preservative, claims testing and CPSR’s for all development products and maintain appropriate records.
