Parade Day Nursery are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to support the manager in overseeing our childcare facility. The ideal candidates will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education.
As the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, while also managing staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- To work under the direction of the manager and deputise for him/her as and when required.
- To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted.
- To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the manager in the organisation of a high-quality establishment for children from birth to five years.
- To provide high standards of care and early learning, including the monitoring and review of provision, providing a safe, caring environment to enable the personal, emotional, social and educational development of children through individual attention and group activities.
- To support the team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.
- To direct and support staff as agreed by the manager.
- To have key holder responsibility.

Experience:
- Proven experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively while promoting teamwork and professional development.
- A background in working with children is essential; qualifications in early childhood education are highly desirable.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for attending off-site meetings or events.
