We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver to join our growing transport team. This role involves a mix of long-distance trunking with nights out and local yard shunting, supporting both depot operations and customer deliveries. This is a varied position ideal for drivers who enjoy both road work and yard-based duties.
Key Responsibilities- Driving Class 1 (C+E) HGV vehicles for deliveries and trunking work
- Completing nights out when required
- Performing local yard shunting and trailer movements
- Moving trailers safely between loading bays, parking areas, and depot locations
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring compliance with drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
- Completing delivery paperwork and communicating with the transport office
- Ensuring loads are secure and transported safely
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Good knowledge of UK driving hours regulations
