Woodside Logistics Group have an opening for a Senior Business Analyst at our headquarters in Ballynure, Co. Antrim. We are a group comprising 5 individual companies operating in different parts of the transport and logistics industry. We operate throughout the UK and Ireland every day, and across the group we employ over 700 people at our various sites.
In recent years, the volume of data being generated by our systems, vehicles and devices has significantly increased. We are seeking a candidate who is confident working with large datasets and passionate about problem-solving and uncovering new perspectives. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the transport industry and help to develop our approach to analysing and measuring our business, and ultimately contribute to the success of the business. The ideal candidate will be able to work with different business areas and understand the interactions between them.
It is essential that you have practical experience of Microsoft Excel and an ability to interpret large volumes of data. You will also have experience of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, and be comfortable using these tools to communicate complex insights in an accessible manner. Prior experience in the transport industry is not necessary. We value having employees from a diverse range of backgrounds who share a common goal of delivering success and improving service levels. Duties and responsibilities:- Oversee and distribute weekly reporting for each company.
- Support operational management by creating appropriate reporting to aid decision making.
- Interpret and present key data to senior management.
- Assist in pricing decisions when bidding for new opportunities.
- Liaise with support function departments such as Finance, Payroll, HR, IT, H&S, Workshop to ensure that their reporting requirements are met.
- Extensive experience in Excel, and practical knowledge of Power BI
- Experience of using SQL to extract data from systems
- A relevant third-level education
- At least 2 years' experience providing data and insights to senior management
