Monday to Friday – Flexible shift pattern to cover hours between 06:00 – 15:00 or 10:00 – 19:00.

Role Overview

Woodside Haulage is the largest division of Woodside Logistics Group, delivering full trailer loads across the UK and Ireland, with depots in Ballynure, Dublin, and Preston. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and coordination of our haulage fleet and drivers, overseeing the safe and efficient movement of full trailer loads across the UK and Ireland. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong working knowledge of Road Traffic legislation and Working Time Regulations to ensure full compliance at all times. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, demonstrate strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, and bring a proactive, detail‑driven approach to transport planning within a large‑scale haulage operation.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with drivers and operations teams to deliver a consistently high level of customer service.
  • Plan drivers and vehicles efficiently to maximise delivery and collection performance.
  • Accurately book, monitor, and update consignments on the Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and customer‑specific requirements are fully met.
  • Coordinate with drivers and driver trainers to support completion of all required training.
  • Work closely with fleet maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment are available for servicing and MOTs.
  • Liaise with ferry operators to confirm and secure bookings and sailings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Transport or Traffic Planning role.
  • High levels of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience using a Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
