As a Customs & Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of both transport operations and customs activities. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What This Role Involves:
- Obtaining, reviewing and validating customer information required to support customs clearance processes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Coordinating the transfer of customer, vehicle and shipment information to the Customs team within required timescales.
- Monitoring the progress of customs clearances to facilitate the timely movement of customer shipments.
- Arranging and managing ferry bookings following customs clearance, ensuring shipments are scheduled in line with operational requirements.
- Working closely with Customer Services, Transport Operations and customs colleagues to support the smooth and efficient movement of goods.
- Liaising with customers, drivers, ferry operators and other external stakeholders to resolve queries and provide timely operational updates.
- Completing customs and transport administration accurately and in accordance with Company procedures and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining accurate transport, customs and shipment records using Company systems.
- Monitoring shipment progress and responding proactively to operational issues, delays or changes to minimise disruption.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service by communicating professionally, managing expectations and resolving queries efficiently.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
- Operating in line with Company policies, procedures and IT governance standards.
- Contributing positively to team objectives and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties aligned to the role, as required.
What You'll Need:
Essential:
- A minimum of one year's administrative experience within a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working within a transport, logistics or customs environment.
- Experience using transport management, customs or other operational systems.
