Division: Woodside Global

Location: Ballynure

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - either 08:30 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 17:30.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Airfreight Operations Operator to manage the end-to-end handling of import and/or export airfreight shipments. You will be responsible for coordinating with airlines, customers, customs, and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day airfreight import/export operations from booking through delivery
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation (AWBs, customs paperwork, invoices)
  • Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, and clients
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements
  • Handle dangerous goods documentation where applicable (if certified)
  • Maintain accurate records in operations/freight management systems

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in airfreight import or export operations
  • Valid IATA certificate
  • Solid understanding of international trade practices and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills for liaising with carriers, customers, and customs

Desirable Criteria:

  • Dangerous Goods (DGR) training/certification

Skills:

  • Proficiency in freight management/logistics software
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Problem-solving mindset
