Woodside Logistics Group have an opening for a HR Advisor at our headquarters in Ballynure, Co. Antrim. We are a group comprising of 5 individual companies operating in different parts of the transport and logistics industry. We operate throughout the UK and Ireland every day, and across the group we employ over 700 people at our various sites.
The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing advice and guidance across a range of HR responsibilities, including performance management, employee relations, absence management, recruitment and disciplinaries.
Key responsibilities:- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on all people-related matters
- Handle employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures and advising managers on company policies, legal considerations and risk factors
- Attend and support formal meetings (disciplinary, grievance, absence, probationary reviews, flexible working etc), acting as the company representative and note-taker
- Manage the probationary review process and supporting line managers in performance discussions
- Oversee short and long term absence to include stage absence meetings, long term sick reviews, occupational health referrals and capability meetings
- Contribute to the development, revision and implementation of new policies and procedures
- Assist in coordinating training and development initiatives
- Support HR-related projects and contribute to wider business initiatives as required
- Assist the HR Team during audits, ensuring policies and practices align with compliance standards
- Assist with employee engagement efforts, overseeing reward and recognition programs
- A minimum of 2 years HR experience working at a similar level
- Good knowledge and understanding of current NI, ROI and UK employment legislation
- Strong ER experience (experience in conduct, capability matters, absence, dismissals and appeals)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential
