We are searching for a high calibre, professional C1 (7.5‑tonne) driver to join our team serving the motor industry, including manufacturers, dealer networks and auction houses, throughout the UK & Ireland.

What are we looking for?

Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a C1 (7.5‑tonne) driver to join our specialist Motorfreight division operating from our Ballynure Head Office.

The Person

The successful candidate will be aspiring to progress their driving career through categories C & CE. We place great emphasis on maintaining quality equipment, delivering quality training and applying rigorous controls. We require a driver who has the ability to work as part of a team, is confident in the use of smart phones and is reliable and conscientious with a flexible attitude toward work.

Job Role And Responsibilities

  • To ensure all paperwork and electronic documentation is completed accurately, including additional vehicle condition reports, signed by the relevant parties in the appropriate places, and submitted where necessary, this will also include the use and management of a hand held electronic device.
  • You will inspect thoroughly all vehicles for damage, wear and tear, mileage and shortages, and make notations on the relevant paperwork.
  • You will then ensure that damage is countersigned by the contact person at the collection point.
  • You may on occasion be required to prepare demonstration vehicles for delivery to customers. This will include washing the exterior of vehicles, cleaning the interior, and fuelling if required.

Essential Criteria

  • Class C1 (7.5‑tonne) licence.
  • Digital tachograph card and driver's CPC qualification card.
  • Able to maintain a good standard of driving.
  • Clean licence preferable but up to a maximum of 6 points is acceptable.
  • Able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
  • Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and WTD regulations.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience working within the motor industry (e.g. sales, body work, in‑car infotainment systems).
  • HGV licence above C1 categories advantageous.

Training

Full training on transporter equipment and all aspects of the role is provided on a one‑on‑one basis with one of our Driver Trainers.
