Job Summary: Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to employ an additional Workshop and Repairs Scheduler to join our busy team. You will be highly organised and proactive, coordinating all planned and reactive maintenance activities across our diverse heavy goods vehicle fleet. They will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet is serviced, repaired, and roadworthy - keeping downtime to a minimum and compliance at the forefront. They will be responsible for the smooth and effective planning of all workshop's bays, monitoring and reporting on the efficiency of the team internally and ensuring external maintenance is carried out as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule routine servicing, MOTs, inspections, as well as running repairs for HGVs and trailers
- Allocate jobs to internal technicians and external repair agents ensuring compliance with O Licence and manufacturer guidelines
- Monitor VOR (Vehicle Off Road) status and prioritise urgent repairs to ensure fleet availability
- Maintain workshop calendars and ensure technician workloads are balanced and fully utilised
- Track job progress, parts orders, and completion times liaising with operations and management teams to provide regular updates.
- Liaise with transport and compliance teams to align maintenance with operational needs
- Ensure all work schedules comply with DVSA standards and Operator Licence undertakings
- Ensure WIP job cards are managed with all labour and stock allocated and charged correctly
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role scheduling repairs with internal and external repair agents
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities across teams and external vendors
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience in HGV fleet maintenance or repairs scheduling, workshop coordination, or transport operations
