Woodside Motorfreight are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee / Apprentice Transport Planner to join our busy operations team. The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and support across all aspects of transport planning and operations while working within one of Northern Ireland's leading logistics providers. Assist with the scheduling and coordination of vehicles, routes and deliveries. Communicate with drivers regarding collections, deliveries and operational updates. Accurately input and update information within the Transport Management System (TMS). Assist with customer queries and provide updates regarding deliveries and collections. Monitor emails, transport systems and operational reports throughout the day. Support the team in ensuring all transport activities are completed in line with company procedures and relevant legislation. Work collaboratively with operational, customer service and warehouse teams. Participate in training and development activities as part of the apprenticeship/trainee programme. Operate in line with organisational policies, procedures and IT governance standards. Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office. Desirable Interest in transport, logistics or supply chain operations. Previous experience in an office, customer service or operational environment. GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Understanding of transport operations or logistics environments.
