We have an exciting opening for a Shop manager for a brand new store opening in Broughton Astley
Job Purpose
The Store Manager will provide expertise in retail management and guidance on the day-to-day running of a retail store to deliver outstanding aspects for Woodside RSPCA Leicestershire, Peterborough and Rutland.
Striving not only to maintain but to also drive and go beyond compliance expectations, both internally and externally, to ensure that not only are our values upheld but that we are compliant in everything that we do.
Whilst ensuring that our animals are the focus of our service, the post holder will uphold the charity\’s high standards and ensure that their team are maintaining and working within current regulations and guidelines set out for the charity.
Role Responsibilities
- Achieving profit targets by maximising sales and minimising costs.
- Actively promoting and achieving the required gift aid conversion rates and ensuring the gift aid processes in line with HMRC requirements.
- Effectively managing stock, through actively donate driving donations.
- Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising, general presentation and housekeeping
Management Responsibilities
· Planning, prioritising, and delegating work tasks to ensure effective and efficient running of your designated business area.
· Working inline to achieve budgets/targets as set out.
· Working collaboratively on cross-organisational activities, events, and campaigns
· Completing organisational reports/paperwork to meet deadlines.
· Always communicating in a professional and open way
· Creating a positive and inclusive working environment
· Managing by example, being consistent and modelling the organisational values
· Working in accordance with all Health and Safety procedures, rules and regulations as set out by Woodside.
· Providing supportive line management, ensuring induction, role specific and mandatory training, and periodic performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.
· Recruiting, training and developing the volunteer team to enhance your function\’s performance.
· Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with, GDPR (data protection) safeguarding guidelines and legal/Woodside/RSPCA Society regulations/policies.
Person Specification
· Experience of Management
· Experience of working within the retail sector.
· In an environment where no day is the same, you will be calm and able to respond.
