The Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered on time, to scope and within agreed budgets, in line with established stage-gate and governance processes.
The role has end-to-end accountability for the day-to-day operational management of NPD and EPD projects, including ownership of project plans, critical paths, risks, dependencies and costs. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams across innovation, sales, brand, technical, finance and supply chain to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing stage-gate and alignment documentation
- Proactively managing resource requirements
- Resolving issues and escalations
- Ensuring the business is fully prepared for NPD and EPD launches
- Post-launch reviews, cost control and formal project closure, including lessons learned
The Project Manager will also support the PMO Lead in the delivery and continuous improvement of NPD, EPD and business project processes. This includes contributing to overall project prioritisation and resource planning, embedding consistent project management practices, and ensuring clear communication of updates, changes and outputs across the business. The successful candidate will be experienced in managing projects with a proven track record of delivering NPD and EPD projects in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, commercial acumen and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships are essential. The role requires someone who is comfortable managing conflict, motivating teams and working under pressure. Strong IT skills are required, including PowerPoint, Office 365 and MS Project. Experience within FMCG is essential, with experience in food FMCG considered advantageous.
There is a strong potential for this role to become permanent after the 12 month period.
