A highly successful manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Part-Qualified Accountant into a strong and well-established finance team. The business is a recognised market leader in Europe and continues to grow, invest, and modernise its systems and processes.
This role offers a broad and well-balanced mix of financial accounting, management accounting, and commercial exposure, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant who is keen to progress to qualification at a good pace with the right level of support.
The Opportunity
Joining a stable and high-performing finance function, the successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure across core accounting and commercial activity, as well as involvement in a forthcoming ERP system implementation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, cost analysis, and variance reporting
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
- Working closely with operational and commercial teams to understand cost drivers and support decision-making
- Supporting financial controls and elements of statutory reporting
- Playing an active role in the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing, data validation, and process improvement
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
Candidate Profile
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Clear appetite to progress to full qualification and build a strong all-round finance skill set
- Comfortable working across both financial and management accounting responsibilities
- Interested in gaining commercial exposure and understanding how finance supports the wider business
- Well-organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Strong Excel skills; interest in systems and process improvement
- Experience within manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous, but is not essential
