The Information Manager is a project-facing role embedded within a major project in Woods Bagot’s Perth studio. The position can be based in our Melbourne and Perth studio and we welcome applications from candidates in this location.

Working closely with project leadership, design teams and external stakeholders, the Information Manager ensures that project information is structured, governed and delivered in line with project requirements, client expectations and industry best practice. The role spans both strategic definition and hands-on delivery, establishing robust frameworks while ensuring their consistent and effective adoption in day-to-day project workflows. It also provides an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of broader practice-level information management capability over time.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Information Strategy, Planning and Delivery
    • Define and maintain the project’s Information Management strategy and execution approach.
    • Manage and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) aligned with project and client requirements.
    • Define and maintain information delivery milestones and exchange requirements.
    • Interpret and implement client information requirements (e.g. EIR, AIR) into project workflows.
  • Information Systems and Governance
    • Establish and manage Common Data Environment (CDE) structures, workflows and protocols.
    • Monitor information quality, structure and integrity across all design disciplines.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for information management across the design team.
  • Coordination and Stakeholder Alignment
    • Facilitate coordination across internal teams and external consultants to ensure consistent and compliant information exchange.
    • Ensure alignment with project delivery obligations.
    • Support the team to embed practical and effective information management processes.
  • Delivery Assurance
    • Monitor compliance against project requirements, identify risks and implement corrective actions where required.
    • Capture lessons learned, and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes and standards.

About You

You are an experienced Information Management professional, confidently operating across both strategy and delivery. You are comfortable taking ownership of complex project environments and ensuring that information management principles are clearly defined and consistently applied. You bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, enabling teams to adopt processes that are both robust and usable in practice. You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 10 years’ experience in Information Management, Digital Engineering or a related field within the AEC industry.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering information management on large, complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and their practical application.
  • Experience developing and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEP), MIDPs and TIDPs.
  • Experience configuring and managing Common Data Environments such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and Aconex.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement information standards, protocols and workflows.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management capability across internal and external teams.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on information consistency, quality and governance.
  • Understanding of BIM processes, and digital delivery workflows.
  • Ability to communicate requirements and standards clearly to a wide range of audiences.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement in digital or information management practices.
