A manufacturing company is seeking an IT Service Manager to lead a small team of two and serve as a key figure within the IT department. This role encompasses both day-to-day operations and involvement in shaping IT strategy and driving projects forward.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on technical experience and currently operate at a managerial level. This is a \”player-coach\” position, offering the opportunity to balance leadership with technical contributions.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the IT Support Team, ensuring efficient management and service delivery.
- Guarantee the availability and optimal performance of the ERP system and other critical business applications at all times.
- Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with the IT Managed Service Provider and other strategic vendors.
- Lead the implementation and execution of all IT infrastructure change projects.
- Provide strategic and tactical input into the direction of IT services and infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce IT and cybersecurity processes to safeguard the business, enhance resilience, and maintain compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Continuously enhance the end-user experience, driving satisfaction and efficiency.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT management.
- Previous experience in a technical, user-facing IT role.
- ITIL Certification.
- Proficiency with current Microsoft Windows operating systems for both desktops and servers.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Teams, and Entral ID/Active Directory administration, as well as other Microsoft products.
- Proven experience in managing cybersecurity practices to align with best practices.
- A proactive attitude with strong self-motivation, ideally suited to a player-coach role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication methods to suit different audiences.
- The capability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members.
