Hospital Sterilisation and Decontamination Unit Manager Interim Contract (short term) Band 8a A midlands based NHS Trust £300 per day DOE Are you an experienced decontamination professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Decontamination Manager to lead our decontamination services, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant sterilisation processes across our Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic and operational role within a busy, high-performing Trust. You’ll lead a team of decontamination professionals, maintain high standards in line with HTM and international guidance, and support continuous service development and transformation. What You\’ll Be Doing As the Trust’s lead for decontamination, your responsibilities will include: Acting as the Decontamination Manager and expert advisor across the organisation. Ensuring compliance with national standards including HTMs, HBNs, and EN Standards. Managing the Hospital Sterile Services Department (HSDU), ensuring optimal service delivery to internal and contracted clients. Maintaining the HSDU quality system, ensuring full compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Overseeing the validation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of all decontamination equipment in partnership with service providers and manufacturers. Leading policy development, service transformation and staff training in all aspects of decontamination. Collaborating with Infection Control, Estates, and Clinical Services to ensure Trust-wide compliance. What We\’re Looking For: Essential Qualifications
