Why Join Us? As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in supporting, mentoring, and leading a team of dedicated residential support workers. You’ll help create a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment where children can grow, heal, and thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and support a team of residential support workers.
  • Be the responsible person during shifts, handling handovers and key decisions.
  • Build trusting relationships with children and provide emotional and practical support.
  • Encourage education, life skills, and positive behaviours.
  • Ensure safeguarding, well-being, and emotional resilience are prioritised.
  • Support children through key life transitions, from settling in to moving on.
  • Work closely with social workers, therapists, and external agencies to provide the best care.
  • Maintain records, write reports, and contribute to care plans.
  • Flexible with working 2-on-4-off shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for transforming the lives of children in care.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Experience in residential childcare (team leadership experience is a plus!).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and trauma-informed care.
  • A full UK driver’s licence.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
