Job Title : HIU Service Engineer – Residential Breakdown

Location : Various sites across the UK

Salary : £32,500 – £40,000 + bonus + Huge progression opportunities

We are a rapidly growing, innovative energy business delivering low‑carbon heat network projects across towns, cities, and communities. We are seeking a HIU Service Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to step into a fast‑growing sector with excellent career progression.

You will work closely with our Lead Technical Manager, servicing HIUs across multiple sites, completing planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and reactive callouts. You will also have the chance to mentor and support junior engineers, contribute to projects, and gain exposure to cutting‑edge energy systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on HIUs

Fault‑find, repair, and replace HIU components efficiently

Attend on‑call rota (typically 1 week in 4) and cover UK‑wide breakdowns as required

Manage site‑based project work and scope of works for plant remediation

Maintain accurate records of works and ensure system compliance

Assist with 1‑ and 12‑monthly mechanical PPMs in plant rooms

Support training and development of junior engineers

Ensure safe isolation of equipment and high‑quality first‑time fixes
