Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer with significant experience in the Oil, Gas and/or Petrochemical industries in both operating site support and EPC roles. Candidates shall have experience of working closely with clients and vendors.
Contributing to the delivery of Engineering and Operational excellence through:
- Executing assigned scopes of work.
- Supporting and supervising task delegation to team.
- Providing discipline expertise to the business.
- Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
- Provide discipline support to the business.
- Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
- Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
- Ability to work on own initiative and highlight areas of production risk due to equipment vulnerability.
- Self-motivated and pro-active with good written and verbal communication skills to be able to pass on information.

Responsibilities:
- Experience of working on and leading Studies, FEED and EPC projects associated with O&G, refining, petrochemical and chemicals.
- Proven core Mechanical Engineering skills, including design experience.
- A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organisational awareness.
- Ability to impact and influence fellow workers.
- Demonstration of customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives.
- Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology.
- Demonstrate successful project delivery to take ownership of tasks and understand the impact on other deliverables and discipline.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Chartered Mechanical Engineer status.
