Woodmansterne School & Sixth Form is situated within a diverse and vibrant community. The school benefits from a rich variety of cultures and traditions that form the bedrock of its inclusive ethos. As an all‑through school (Nursery to Year 13), we are looking to appoint an exceptional EYE (Primary) who shares our values and determination to deliver an excellent, inclusive education to our young people.

Salary: Scale 5, spine points 12‑15 (£34,359‑£35,892) pro rata per annum

Hours: Full Time (Fixed Term)

Year Round: Term time

Permanent: No – Fixed Term

Start Date: September 2026

Key Qualifications

  • Completion of a Teaching Assistant programme of study e.g. NVQ3
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development; attendance on courses, INSET, action research, personal study etc.
  • Educated to at least GCSE grade C standard or equivalent in English and maths
  • Computer literacy: ability to carry out a variety of general ICT tasks e.g. upload photographs
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
  • Displays commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people and has up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid
