As a third-generation family business started in 1953, we continue to have a reputation for quality, design, innovation and service. From our site in Croxley near Watford, our award-winning studio designs all our products. At our state-of-the-art, environmentally-progressive facility in Milton Keynes, we house our brand new production house and run our award-winning category management services into retail.
The company has a vacancy for a Screen Printer/Stencil Maker Full-time permanent position with shift rotation. An opportunity to join a dynamic and quality-focused production team. The Screen Printer/Stencil Maker position is integral to the high volume, high standard, and fast-paced production of goods: the ability to follow meticulously planned schedules.
The role will also work across the various areas of the department such as:
- pre-press
- machine workstations
- multitasking
- preparing goods for dispatch
- machine maintenance
- health and safety checks
- record keeping
The candidate will ideally have previous experience operating a Sakurai Printing Press and preparing screens for production, managing print production processes, and ensuring high-quality output. The role also involves troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining workspaces, and assisting with quality control.
The role requires an individual who can work well within a team but also has the motivation to work alone, the ability to stay calm under pressure, ensuring deadlines are met, and able to convey clear and precise handover instructions. Full training on Woodmansterne specific systems will be provided. Experience of greeting card production or knowledge of the greeting card industry would be advantageous.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Screen Printing and Printing techniques and equipment
- Experience in Print Production and Print Design processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Prior experience in a similar role within the printing or design industry is advantageous
- Being flexible and diverse to move around the Production Floor when workload requires it & learning other skill sets as you evolve in the company
