Job Description

Wood Mackenzie's Long Term Power product team is responsible for a suite of products that enables our customers to make decisions that matter across the energy value chain, delivered through Lens, our one-stop research and data analytics platform. Lens delivers insights at key decision points across end-to-end workflows, with the experience increasingly enhanced by AI and made accessible through agentic delivery mechanisms such as MCP (Model Context Protocol).

Establishing a resilient, sustainable portfolio is critical for energy companies as they develop agile business models to meet net zero goals. We strive to be their partner of choice, offering a range of technical solutions - increasingly delivered through AI-enabled and agentic channels - to support the business needs of these companies. Our team delivers integrated analysis across the power sector, enabling customers to navigate energy industry dynamics, and make quicker, more effective decisions.

We are seeking a delivery-focused Product Manager to help execute the next phase of our AI-ready data transformation journey. Working from an audited inventory of technology datasets, you will prioritise and drive their migration into Snowflake, ensuring they are structured, governed and ready to power new agentic AI experiences and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offerings. You will liaise closely with our engineering team, translating the voice of the customer into clear, prioritised requirements, and keeping delivery on track against an established roadmap. A key part of the role is understanding how our data connects - from the technologies that generate renewable power through to their impact on the wider energy mix - and turning that understanding into practical, sequenced execution plans.

This role sits at the intersection of product, data engineering and analytics. It is a hands-on, execution-led role, critical to ensuring our data capabilities scale with the needs of the business while enabling high-quality, reliable and actionable data for our clients and internal research teams.

Main responsibilities

Working in the Long Term Power and Renewable customer segment with a focus on renewable technology and hydrogen and derivatives datasets, you will work alongside our product, data, research and engineering teams, reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Power & Renewables. This is an execution and prioritisation-focused role: you will take agreed strategy and turn it into a well‑sequenced backlog, drive it through delivery, and keep stakeholders aligned on progress.

Responsibilities will include:

Data Tooling & Infrastructure

  • Own and prioritise the backlog for onboarding audited technology datasets into Snowflake, sequencing the work required to make them AI-ready

  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to enhance our data capabilities - ensuring we have proper meta data

  • Work with engineering to prioritise and execute pipeline improvements for performance, reliability and cost-efficiency

  • Drive initiatives to improve data consistency, interoperability and quality across systems, tracking progress against plan

AI‑Ready Data & Agentic Enablement

  • Support the packaging of audited, AI-ready datasets into agentic AI experiences and Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) offerings, working closely with engineering to execute against the roadmap

  • Prioritise the backlog of dataset readiness work (schema, metadata, lineage) needed to unlock new agentic workflows

  • Coordinate with the Senior Product Manager to translate strategic direction into sequenced, deliverable execution plans

Data Discovery

  • Support evaluation of new data sources identified by the portfolio
