Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly team at Woodley Centre Surgery. The successful candidate will be a motivated, flexible, and compassionate clinician, able to undertake the full range of Practice Nurse duties within a busy GP surgery environment. You will work as part of our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Main duties of the job

  • Childhood and adult immunisations
  • Cervical cytology
  • Wound care and dressings
  • Injections (e.g. B12, contraceptive, travel vaccines)
  • ECGs, spirometry, blood pressure checks, phlebotomy
  • Health promotion and lifestyle advice
  • Long-term condition management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension reviews)

Job responsibilities

Looking for Mondays and Fridays (all day)

The Practice Nurse will work as part of the clinical team to deliver high quality, evidence-based nursing care to the registered practice population. The post holder will provide a full range of treatment room and chronic disease management services, supporting patients to maintain and improve their health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Maintain NMC registration and adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
