As part of an ambitious and growing group of companies, this Greater Manchester based manufacturer of retail display equipment and stands is looking for an experienced field based Business Development Manager to support the Managing Director with all areas of sales growth. This is an established, profitable and growing business. A successful candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running and fit in with an established team.

You will be from a manufacturing and/or engineering background, and commercially astute, with sales experience within an SME setting. At an exciting stage in the businesses lifecycle, this position has scope for development in line with the businesses ambitious growth aspirations. You will be driven, gregarious and personable, with a can do attitude. You will have a demonstrable track record in prospecting new customers and securing new business. This is an exciting new role, with full support and genuine autonomy, as well as opportunity for development.

Reports to: Managing Director

Responsibilities and duties:

  • 80% Field Based, 20% Office
  • Focus on new business – responsible for identifying and contacting new, potential customers
  • Prospecting new and lapsed customers to increase sales volumes
  • Develop relationships and interpreting customer requirements both technically and commercially
  • Track and evaluate key sales figures
