About this Role
Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust are seeking a dedicated Learning Recovery Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting students in our Reset Room. You will support students to regulate and return to lessons. You will also support students to ensure that they complete work so as to not get behind with their studies.

MainDuties and Responsibilities:
The Learning Recovery Coordinator is responsible for setting and ensuring high standards of behaviour and supporting students within the inclusion room.
Underan agreed system of supervision; to take a lead role within the school tosupport and manage pupils who are excluded from, or otherwise not working to, anormal timetable.
To manage, under guidance, an agreed system of supervision and to manage systems/policies/procedures for:
Reducing exclusions
Enabling learningto take place within the inclusion room
Supporting positivebehaviour
Supporting re-integration into the mainstream school provision.
Core duties and purpose:
Supporting pupils'access to learningusing appropriate strategies, resources etc.
Working with other staffin planning, evaluating and adjusting learningactivities as appropriate
Monitoring and evaluating pupils'responses and progress against action plans through observation and plannedrecording
Providing objectiveand accurate feedbackand reports as required, to other staff on pupils'achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability ofappropriate evidence
Managing recordkeeping systems and processes
Taking a leadrole in the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour managementstrategies within the inclusion room
Establishingconstructive relationships with parents/carers, exchanging information,facilitating their support for theirchild's attendance, access and learning and supporting home to school andcommunity links
Supporting pupils by:
Modelling our school values
Managing the supervision of pupils excludedfrom, or otherwisenot working to, a normaltimetable
Taking a lead role in managingand delivering pastoralsupport to pupils
Attending to pupils'personal needs and providing advice to assist in their social, health and hygiene development
Providing feedbackto pupils in relation to their progressand achievement whilst in the Reset Room
Being aware of the development and implementation of ILPs and reasonableadjustments
Setting challenging and demanding expectations, and promoting self-esteem and independence
Ensuring the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour/Support/Mentoring plans
Establishing productive working relationships with pupilsand acting as a role model
Providing information and advice to enable pupils to make choices about their own learning/behaviour/attendance
Challenging and motivating pupils,promoting and reinforcing self-esteem
Providing feedbackto pupils in relation to progress, achievement, behaviour, attendance etc.
Using restorative practice approaches to support pupils

TrainingDetails:
Location: CentralHead Office (Wardhayes) 8 Simmons Way, Okehampton, EX20 1PY
Purpose: Toprovide comprehensive training on company policies, procedures, and systemsnecessary for successful integration into the role.
TrainingSchedule: Daily sessions from 9am to 4pm, with breaks provided.
