We're hiring a Project Manager for Tiger Modular Bradford / Leeds + National Travel (Will also consider applicants from the South- London/Surrey). Competitive salary + Car Allowance/Company Car + KPI Bonus & OTE.
Tiger Modular is part of the Woodlands Home & Garden Group, established in 1913. We design, manufacture, and install garden rooms and modular buildings for customers across the UK. We are growing, and we need a Project Manager who can help us scale - someone who doesn’t just manage what’s in front of them, but who actively builds better systems, stronger teams, and a culture of quality.
THE ROLE
This is an end-to-end Project Management role. You’ll own the process from manufacturing through to installation and aftercare, managing a national network of employed and subcontracted installers. You’ll be responsible for delivery, quality, cost control, and critically, for growing and developing the installation operation as the business scales. This isn’t a desk-based PM role. You’ll need to be hands-on, commercially aware, and comfortable making decisions under pressure. You’ll deal with subcontractors, clients, site issues, and competing priorities daily. We need someone who thrives on that.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Delivery: Own day-to-day operations across manufacturing, despatch, and installation - on time, on budget, right first time. Manage project schedules, proactively identify risks, and keep all stakeholders informed. Drive a culture of quality and health & safety across every stage.
- Building & Managing the Installation Network: Manage national and regional installation resources, balancing permanent teams and subcontracted labour. Grow the installer network - recruit, onboard, and develop new installers to meet increasing demand. Lead performance management, addressing underperformance early and constructively & celebrating/rewarding excellent performance.
- Commercial & Performance Management: Set, track, and report on KPIs covering quality, financial performance, H&S, and resourcing. Manage project budgets, controlling costs and protecting or improving margins. Report regularly to the Commercial Director with clear, data-driven updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement quality control measures that catch issues early and prevent recurrence. Drive improvements to products, processes, and systems. Encourage innovation that improves performance, profitability, and the customer experience.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Proven experience managing operational delivery or installation projects - ideally in construction, modular buildings, joinery, fit-out, home improvement, or similar.
- Experience managing dispersed field teams, including subcontractors/specialist trades.
- Strong leadership and people management - you can motivate a team, have difficult conversations, and deal with conflict constructively.
- Commercially minded - you understand budgets, margins, and cost control.
- Organised, decisive, and data-literate.
- Not scared of hard work and travel.
Desirable:
- Joinery or timber-frame product knowledge.
- Experience scaling or growing a B2C installation operation.
- Drawing interpretation or drawing software experience.
- Formal PM qualification (PRINCE2, APM) useful but not essential with the right experience.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AFTER 12 MONTHS
- Projects consistently delivered right first time.
- A growing, well-managed, skilled installer network.
- Budget and margin targets met or exceeded.
- Strong working relationships across Sales, Operations, and senior leadership.
- Health & safety compliance maintained with no significant incidents.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Car allowance OR Company Car + business expenses.
- 28 days holiday (inc. bank holidays) + length of service increase.
- Holiday purchase scheme (up to 5 extra days per year).
- Generous staff discount on Woodlands DIY and Tiger garden buildings.
- Internal reward & recognition scheme.
- Employee Ownership Trust - annual tax-efficient bonus (when applicable).
- KPI incentives + OTE element.
- Personal learning, development & progression opportunities.
- Free parking at all our facilities (Bradford & Leeds).
- On-site canteens with free hot drinks.
You’ll be joining a business group with over 100 years of heritage that’s investing in growth. This role offers genuine ownership - you won’t be a cog in a machine. You’ll shape how Tiger Modular delivers, grows, and improves. If you want a role where you can make a real impact, this is it.
Apply with an up-to-date CV and contact details. Successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK and references on request.
