About Us & The Role
Woodlands Home & Garden Group is a market leader in the manufacture of garden buildings, including sheds, summerhouses and log cabins. Based in three sites: Rodley (LS13), Thornbury (BD3) and Horsforth (LS18), our sales have grown rapidly and we are now looking to expand our team of professional drivers. Starting times can vary between 2am and 6am with some overnight stays included. This is a permanent vacancy.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver flat pack cabins.
- Deliver shed panels (handball).
- Shunt timber between depots.
- Secure the load using straps and ratchets; some roping experience needed.
- Perform daily vehicle checks.
- Deal with customers on a 1:1 basis for both home deliveries and trade.
- Deliver goods in a helpful manner with safety being at the forefront of all decisions you make.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Meet time slots agreed with the customer and notify the appropriate people if delays occur.
- Provide help for the loading team as required.
Qualifications:
- HGV Class 2 licence.
- Experience of driving nationwide.
- Ability to lift and carry loads up to 20kg.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Evidence of right to work in the UK and any relevant licences.
