About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Timber Machinist to join our timber mill team. This is a skilled role producing accurately machined timber for our garden-building production departments while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate timber mill moulders.
- Select, fit and adjust tooling safely and accurately.
- Machine timber to the required measurements and profiles.
- Complete machine adjustments, product changeovers and routine checks.
- Inspect finished timber for quality and accuracy.
- Identify defects and resolve machining issues.
- Follow production plans and meet agreed output requirements.
- Keep the timber mill clean, organised and safe.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a Timber Machinist or Wood Machinist.
- Confidence setting and operating timber mill moulders.
- Good knowledge of timber, tooling and machining processes.
- Ability to work accurately from measurements and specifications.
- Strong awareness of machine safety.
- A reliable, practical and quality-focused approach.
- Forklift truck or side-loader experience would be useful but is not essential.
